City of Camas Water Line Fish Salvage
Client: Harper Houf
Point Environmental was contracted in 2018 to remove fish from fish bearing streams transected by a 1.5-mile water line replacement project. The first stream was the Little Washougal River and the City remaining three creeks were all tributaries to the Little Washougal River. Point environmental used back-pack electrofishing to remove fish from isolated in-water work areas prior to stream diversion and trenching a new water line through each segment. Point Environmental guided the contractor through stream isolation, diversion, in-water work permit requirements, and led stream bed reconstruction and stream channel re-watering.
